Description: 

Size: Wooden handle around 80 cm

Steel head around 22 x 18 cm

Abu Usama's father used it to till the land in Gaza.

Story: This hand plough was first used by Abu Usama’s father in Palestine, in the Bir el-Sabe' ragion, an area that is now occupied by Israel.

Abu Usama's father carried it with him to Gaza when they were expelled from their lands in 1948 where he used it to farm and till the land.

In 1967, Abu Usama carried the plough with him to Jordan, to the Gaza Refugee Camp near the town of Jerash, where it remains until today with Abu Usama himself.

In recent years the plough has been used by Abu Usama's sons.

The cast steel head has been preserved in very good condition, while the wooden handle has been renewed and replaced over the years.
